Lucida Journal: Habitat Launch in Berlin


Celebrate the second and last international launch of Queensland Centre for Photography’s Lucida Journal: Habitat, on Saturday 21 November 6.00pm at Jarvis Dooney Galerie (Galerie Pavlova).

The accompanying panel discussion (in English) will touch on aspects of the publication that examines our relationship to habitats, specifically the connection between individuals and their surroundings.

The panel members include:

April Gertler (US) is an artist exploring experience as a communial moment through performance. In 2009 she founded the Picture Berlin artists residency programme. |

Tim Seifert (DE) is one of the co-founders of renowned Internet interview magazine Freunden von Freunden. |

Henrik Strömberg SE) is a Berlin based artist challenging the medium of photography and its interpretation through physical manipulation of the printed image. |

Moderated by:

Michael Dooney (AU) founded Jarvis Dooney, formally Galerie Pavlova, in 2013 as the first and only gallery in Europe with a focus on contemporary photography from Australia and New Zealand.

The Journal is a limited edition of 100 numbered copies, 10 copies will be available at the Berlin launch.
